A copy of the relevant safeguards can be requested at privacy@hoptodesk.com.
10. Additional Information for EEA, UK, and Swiss Users (GDPR)
Controller and processor roles. For personal data of dashboard account holders and website visitors, Begonia Holdings LLC is the data controller. Where a business customer uses the Service to manage its own devices, technicians, and end users, that customer is the controller of the data it puts into the Service and HopToDesk acts as its processor. We offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Article 28 GDPR, including the Standard Contractual Clauses, to business customers on our Enterprise agreements; contact us to request it.
Legal bases. We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b), providing the Service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f), securing the Service, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving the product); your consent (Article 6(1)(a), where required, for example for certain analytics or marketing, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
Your GDPR rights. In addition to the rights listed in Section 7, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of an alleged infringement. We ask that you contact us first at privacy@hoptodesk.com so we can try to resolve your concern directly.
Automated decision-making. We do not use your personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
11. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
The HopToDesk Dashboard uses cookies and analytics to operate the application, keep you signed in, understand how the Dashboard is used, and measure our advertising:
- Product analytics and session replay: We use Fullstory to understand how users interact with the Dashboard, such as pages viewed, clicks, and navigation, so that we can diagnose issues and improve the product. Password fields are never captured and other sensitive inputs are masked.
- Advertising measurement: We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the performance of our advertising. When you create an account, a hashed, non-reversible version of your email address may be shared with Google to attribute a sign-up.
- Payments and email: Optional paid plans are handled by our third-party payment provider, and account and support messages are delivered through our third-party email provider.
You can limit analytics and advertising collection through your browser's privacy settings and through Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com. Our Service may also contain links to third-party websites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
